Happy birthday, Ange~ Will you come over for dinner tonight? We can have a little party just like we used to. Well, not quite the same seeing as your father isn't around, but we all know the highlight is having Battler there anyway.
I want to make up for our absence, in some small way.

I'm extending an open invitation to any of Ange's friends as well. I'll be making dinner as well as dessert and you're welcome to stay as little or long as you like. The only condition is, please keep it a secret from Ange, I want it to be a surprise.

Same, though I wouldn't call it embarrassing. More like... a little annoying. They're never gonna listen to the ideas of a few old people if they have the power to do what they want anyway.

With nothing having any monetary value and the one thing that does have some liable to get me killed more than a few times, it's been a little hard. I'd charge full force, but dying does put a little kink in my game.

Not to say I don't have high hopes for the future. Name's Arsene Lupin III, my dear. What do you call yourself, other than Ange and Battler's Mom?

I wasn't aware anything had monetary value, seeing as there is no monetary system. It's almost too bad, if there was, and my husband were here, we just might be going for holding the monopoly on Luceti's funds. It's a bit boring like this, there's nothing to do.

Pleasure's mine, Kyrie-san. [Though the name doesn't indicate it, he is half Japanese and he sometimes remembers his manners. The commentary earns a chuckle.]

If there was anything valuable, monetary or otherwise, my girlfriend and I would do the same. She's here in Luceti, and really likes her shinies. Pity I can't get any for her here.

Well then luckily we won't have to fight over it. Now jewellery and such is something I've never taken an interest in, it always ends up being impractical. But to each their own - who knows, it might be possible to find something before she gets too fed up.

And, just Kyrie is quite fine, only my in-laws call me 'Kyrie-san' anymore.

I'll remember that, Kyrie-chan. [Because he's Lupin III--everyone gets a '-chan' tacked onto their name at some point, especially if he likes them.]

It's a very good thing we won't have to compete then. I don't need more women watching me or getting mad at me because I've done something they didn't like again. Even if it is impracical, most of what I do is for the fun of it.

[He's been here for six months, and the lack of fun is starting to really get to him.]

[He's joking, but would lie if he said that he wasn't a little flattered by the comparison to her husband. The fact that it was more than just a visual resemblance was interesting.]

...You know? I've noticed the same thing with a few other people. There's a man here from a completely different world, but he's frighteningly similar to my rival of twenty years. It's pretty amazing!

[That's exactly the plan, to be the person you least suspect. When she does get going, she's a little more...uh, psychotic about it.]

Really? I haven't seen much of that yet, I would say this is the first.

Really now? Must be newer here than I am. Been here since last November, and these little coincidences are starting to feel kinda normal. Sadly.

Yes, I am, it's been...since January, still not too great a difference. Then again, the sort of people I know are not all too common. I did meet someone who shares quite a few similarities in his life as in mine, as well as ironic differences. But that's about it.

Funny how that works out, huh? It's kinda like the guy who's similar to my rival--we're actually okay friends because I resemble his rival a little too. Even stranger is how his girlfriend is similar to mine.

[There's a chuckle at this.] And he says I'm bent! It does make you wonder a little about the Malnosso though. Maybe they have a very strange sense of humor or something, if so many similar people end up in a bubble together.

They must just like people like you.

I'm surprised there are that many similar couples. And here I thought we were one of a kind, too bad...
